Snickerdoodles

Happy Friday everybody! I can’t believe that it is already December! This week’s recipe comes just in time for all of your Christmas baking! This week I baked snickerdoodle cookies! These cookies were simple to make and tasted delicious! Here is how to make them:
What you will need.

IMG_0748 Cream the shortening then add the eggs and sugar and mix well.  Sift your dry ingredients together then add them to the mix. Mix well.IMG_0751 Roll the dough into balls (the size of the cookie depends on the size of the ball) and coat them in a cinnamon and sugar mixture.IMG_0753 Place on the baking sheet and bake at 400° F for 8-10 minutes.

Snickerdoodles (makes 4 dozen)
• 1 cup Shortening
• 1 ½ cup Sugar
• 2 eggs
• 2 ¾ cup Flour
• 2 tsp. Cream of Tartar
• 1 tsp. Baking Soda
• ¼ tsp. Salt
Coating
• 2 Tbsp. Sugar
• 2 tsp. Cinnamon
Cream the shortening then add sugar and eggs. Mix well. Add dry ingredients. Mix well. Roll dough into balls. Coat with cinnamon and sugar mix. Bake at 400° F for 8-10 minutes. Let cool and enjoy!

Note: This recipe makes a crunchy cookie. If you want a softer cookie, this is not the recipe you want to use.
