Mulled Cider

Happy Friday everyone! Only one more week until Christmas! I am sure that most of you are very busy this time of year and are always in need of something quick to make. This week’s recipe is a super quick and very delicious holiday drink. The mulled cider that I made this week was super delicious and really easy to make. It only takes about twenty minutes to make and it makes your whole house smell wonderful during the process. Here’s how to make it:

What you will need:  Apple Cider or Juice, whole allspice, cinnamon stick, ground nutmeg, whole cloves, brown sugar, and salt.IMG_0769

Combine all of the ingredients in a large saucepan. You can either place all of the spices in cheesecloth or let them float freely in the cider.IMG_0771

Slowly bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.IMG_0773

Remove the spices.IMG_0776

Serve with orange slices. (orange slices are optional)IMG_0778

Note: I had a very hard time finding whole allspice. I was finally able to find it at Winco. If you don’t have whole allspice already, you may have to search a few stores before you find it.
