Brownies

  • 2 cups flour
  • ¾ cup cocoa powder
  • 2 cups sugar
  • dash salt
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup nuts (optional)

Combine dry ingredients. Add shortening and liquid ingredients and mix well. Pour the batter into a greased baking sheet and bake at 350° F for 15 minutes. Let cool and frost with desired frosting and enjoy!Brownies

NOTE: This brownie turns out more dense than a boxed brownie mix.   It is very similar in texture to a pre-packaged brownie you would purchase in the stores.
