Mudslide

Happy Friday everybody! This week’s recipe is incredibly delicious and really easy to make! The recipe for this week is called a mudslide. It is a delicious combination of Cool Whip and chocolate pudding. Here is how to make it:

You will need: margarine, flour, sugar, chopped nuts, cream cheese, powdered sugar, Cool Whip, chocolate pudding (and milk to mix up the pudding).IMG_0859

First mix together the flour and sugar. Then cut in the margarine.IMG_0863

Stir in the nuts (I used chopped walnuts) and press into the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan. Bake for 10 minutes at 350° F for 10 minutes and the let cool.IMG_0864 IMG_0865

While the crust is cooling, cream the cream cheese then add the powdered sugar a little at a time. Finally, beat in one container of the cool whip.IMG_0868 IMG_0869

Spread the mixture on the cooled crust.IMG_0872

Next, mix up the chocolate pudding according to the directions on the package and layer on top of the cream cheese layer.IMG_0871 IMG_0873

Then spread the other container of cool whip on top of the pudding.IMG_0874 IMG_0875

Chill until ready to serve.  Enjoy!IMG_0876

Mudslide

  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1 Tbs. Sugar
  • ½ cup Margarine
  • ½ cup Chopped Nuts

Mix together, pat into a 9×13 pan. Bake for 10 minutes at 350° F for 10 minutes and the let cool.

  • 8 oz. Cream Cheese
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 8 oz. Cool Whip

Beat cream cheese. Add powdered sugar a little at a time. Beat in Cool Whip. Layer on the cooled crust.

  • 1 lg box Jello chocolate pudding (5.1 oz.)
  • Milk

Mix the pudding together according to the directions on the package and layer on top of cream cheese layer.

  • 8 oz. Cool Whip

Spread Cool Whip on top of pudding layer. Chill until ready to serve. Enjoy!Mudslide1 Mudslide2

NOTE: You can sprinkle 6-7oz. of toasted coconut on the very top if desired. You can also use lemon or other pudding flavors in place of the chocolate pudding.
