Lemon Cream Cheese Bars

Happy Friday everybody! This week’s recipe was very easy to make and tasted really great! These lemon cream cheese bars will definitely be made again, and again in my family. Here’s how to make them:

You will need: yellow cake mix, oil, eggs, cream cheese, sugar, lemon juice, and salt.IMG_0848

First, mix together the cake mix, oil, and 1 egg until it is crumbly. Reserve one cup for later.IMG_0849

Then press the remaining mixture into the bottom of a greased 9 x 13 pan.  Bake at 350° F for 15 minutes.

While the crust is baking, cream the cream cheese. Then add the sugar, remaining egg, lemon juice, and salt and beat well.IMG_0853

Spread this mixture over the crust. Sprinkle remaining cake mixture on the top and bake at 350° F for 15 minutes.IMG_0854

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • dash of salt

Preheat the oven to 350° F. Mix the cake mix, oil, and one egg until crumbly. Reserve one cup of cake mixture and press the remaining mixture into the bottom of a greased 9×13 pan. Bake at 350° F for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, cream the cream cheese. Then add the sugar, remaining egg, lemon juice, and salt. Beat well. Spread mixture over the crust.
