Oatmeal and Jam Cookies

Happy Friday everybody! This week I have another cookie recipe for you! These cookies were really easy and fun to make and were delicious! Here’s how to make these delicious oatmeal and jam cookies:

You will need: shortening, brown sugar, flour, baking soda, salt, egg, vanilla, rolled oats, jam.IMG_0897

First, cream the shortening and sugar. IMG_0899Then add the flour, baking soda, and salt into the mixture. IMG_0900Then add the beaten egg and vanilla. IMG_0901Finally, mix in the rolled oats. IMG_0904Form the dough into balls (approx. 2 tsp. of dough for each) and press the center lightly to make a small dip in. Fill the dip with a small amount of jam (about ¼ tsp.).   • ¾ cup Shortening
  • ¾ cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 ½ cup Flour
  • 1 tsp. Baking Soda
  • ¼ tsp. Salt
  • 1 Egg (beaten)
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla
  • 1 ½ cup Rolled Oats
  • 1 cup Coconut (optional)
  • Jam

First, cream the shortening and sugar. Then add the flour, baking soda, and salt into the mixture. Then add the beaten egg and vanilla. Finally, mix in the rolled oats. Form the dough into balls and press the center lightly to make a small dip in. Fill the dip with a small amount of jam (about ¼ tsp.). Bake on 350° F for 13 minutes.
