Apple Pudding

Happy Friday everybody! This week I have another dessert recipe for you. This week’s recipe is called apple pudding. It was a pretty easy recipe to make and tasted pretty good too. Here is how to make it:

You will need: sugar, shortening, eggs, apples, flour, baking soda, salt, and nutmeg. For the sauce you will need: brown sugar, salt, cornstarch, water, and butter.IMG_1013IMG_1015

First, cream the shortening and the sugar. IMG_1016Then add the eggs. IMG_1017Next, add the flour, baking soda, salt, and nutmeg and mix well. IMG_1018Finally, add the grated apple and combine gently. IMG_1019Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 pan and bake at 350°F for 45 minutes. IMG_1020After it’s done baking, begin making the sauce. First, bring the water, butter, brown sugar, and salt to a boil. Once it is boiling, add the cornstarch and allow the sauce to thicken. IMG_1043Pour the sauce over the pudding as you serve.   • 2 cups sugar

  • 6 medium apples grated
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. nutmeg

  • dash salt
  • 2 cups water
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
