Croutons

Happy Friday everybody!  This week I have a really easy recipe for you.  After you finish reading this post, you won’t believe how easy croutons are to make.  I don’t think I will need to buy croutons again after learning how to make them at home.  Here is how to make them.

First, pick your bread.  Day old bread works best because it is already a little hard and dried out.  You can you any kind of bread you would like.  For this post, I used a sourdough loaf from my local grocery store.  Whatever type of bread you choose, needs to be sliced and then cut into squares (or squarish shapes, they don’t have to be perfect).  IMG_1601 IMG_1602Place your bread cubes into a bowl with olive oil (or melted butter) and toss them with salt and pepper.
