Ice Cream Cake

Happy Friday everybody!  This week I have a recipe from a food magazine that I am subscribed to.  The magazine is the Kraft magazine and I love getting it.  There are always some really fun recipes and this week I thought I would share one with you.  This ice cream cake is super easy and so versatile.  Here is how to make it:

First, soften the cream cheese in the microwave for a few seconds and mix it with the milk.  IMG_2046Then add the pudding mix and mix well.  IMG_2048Finally, gently fold in 1 cup of the whipped cream and separate the mixture in half.  IMG_2049Dye one half blue and the other half red.  IMG_2050Layer ice cream sandwiches, then pudding whipped cream mixture, and more ice cream sandwiches until you have three layers of ice cream and two layers of the pudding mixture.  Then cover the outside with the rest of the whipped cream.

Use the excess foil to create a packet around the cake and freeze for 4 hours.  Finally, sprinkle with colored sugar crystals, slice, and serve.IMG_2065IMG_2066
