American Flag Pie

Happy Friday everybody!  This week I have a really fun recipe for you.  This American Flag pie is super easy to make and is the perfect end to any meal.  Here is how to make it:

For this recipe you will need: 2 cans of blueberry pie filling, 3 cans of cherry pie filling,  and pie crust dough.

First, mix up your favorite pie dough (you need enough dough for 4 9-inch pies).  Roll the dough out to fit in your sheet pan (mine was a 9×12 pan) and carefully line the pan.IMG_3135  Then pour one can of blueberry pie filling (or make your own) into the upper left corner.  Then fill in the rest of the pan with cherry pie filling (I used about 1 and 1/2 cans).  Roll out more pie dough and carefully cut and measure your stripes and stars.  Place the stars and stripes in their proper places.IMG_7485.JPG  Bake the pie at 450 for 20 minutes, then cover with foil and bake for an additional 25 minutes.  Let cool and enjoy!IMG_3138

NOTE: This recipe makes 2 pies on 9×12 sheet pans.
